my year wrapped
and why i track my life
This year, I pooped for 160+ hours.
It’ll always surprise me how many people are interested in the poop count I started in 2017 😅 I’ve had like 10 people mention they bought my course bc of my poo count videos at this point.
But I wanted to share my personal life wrapped with you today,
Along with something from my heart that I think would help you too 🫶

Visa costs are up. Growth can’t wait.
The new $100K visa fee is shaking up U.S. hiring.
For enterprises relying on global talent, it means higher costs, slower hiring, and growing skill gaps. The smartest teams are adapting fast, building distributed squads across Latin America that match U.S. quality, align on time zones, and skip visa friction.
The H-1B Talent Crunch 2025 report breaks down what’s changing, who’s most affected, and how to stay ahead with smarter global hiring.
My 2025 wrapped
The year isn’t over yet so expect my actual counts to be higher 😂
Poops
160+ hours
586+ times (more than twice a day)
Top poo vibes: unexpected (220), satisfying (196), strain (145)
If I invested $100 per poo since 2017, I’d have $800k+ today
Cries
40.5+ hours
171 cries (14.2 min per cry, very efficient of me)
Top cry categories: sad, media (TV show, book, movie)
If I invested $100 per cry since 2018, I’d have $200k+ today
Business / work
980 hours (~18 hours a week)
Revenue: 113k
Net income: 68.9k
Hourly rate (68k / 980 hours) = $70.30
Disclaimer: my financial year is June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025 so the financial statements my accountants gave me were for those dates. Oh also since I’m Canadian these numbers are in CAD (we converted the USD to CAD)

I actually also have a second business newsletter that made $548 so that’s a total of $1.1k from my newsletters.
If you want more financial breakdowns from my business check out this article!
Why track your life?
I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed + burnt out recently.
Yesterday, I ended up pouring my heart out abt my struggles in my business newsletter, but the summary is that I was basing too much of my fears and self-worth on whether post likes = acceptance.
I constantly told myself I was a failure because I wasn’t going viral every day 😅
But as soon as I saw my life stats, I realized that I wasn’t wasting my time.
There’s something about doing these fun life summaries that make you realize how far you’ve come.
In fact, it was my daily journalling that got me to keep going with my business even though I wanted to quit so many times.
Tracking isn’t going to be the solution to everything…
But it helps so much because you constantly get to vibe check yourself.
Like every time I do a monthly, quarterly, or yearly summary, I realize:
I actually do a lot.
And I should be proud of that instead of feeling like I’m a failure.
Because every failure is just a way to learn and improve anyway.
Try this experiment
If you’re thinking of tracking your life too, try this:
Every night, think of 1 win you had during the day.
It can be as simple as getting out of bed, drinking 1 glass of water, or texting 1 friend.
1 month from now, see if you notice any changes.
I’ll be rooting for you! Keep me updated on how the challenge goes 🫶
How was today's email? |
Til next time,
Jennifer
