If you’re anything like me, your brain feels like it has 100 tabs open:

Scattered and overwhelmed.

Maybe you get a brief moment of clarity and consistency,

But still return to feeling stuck:

  • Always re-planning things

  • Unable to take action due to fear of not being good enough

  • Feeling like you “wasted” a day doing nothing

  • Thinking you don’t have enough time for what you want

  • Almost burning out due to how much you have to do

That was me for a big part of 2025.

There was this one day my friend called me to catch up.

“What’s new? How’s your content business going?” she asked me.

“Ah, I’m thinking of rebranding but I don’t know,” I said honestly. “I need to fullsend it but I’m scared.”

What she told me next kinda changed my brain chemistry…

“Jen, every time we catch up, you talk about the same thing. It’s been months.”

Damn…that time really flew by while I was stuck, unable to make a decision.

In fact, I wanted to create a reset challenge for almost 1.5 years.

But I didn’t until now.

I guess it’s a good thing I procrastinated this long,

Because what I learned over the last year influenced my decision to divide the challenge into 3 parts:

  1. Mindset

  2. Systems

  3. Boundaries

Let’s talk about what each part means.

Mindset

I check my DMs almost every day.

Many talented, creative people share their ideas with me.

“I want to build this tracking app,” they say.

Or “I want to make content about sustainability.”

Sometimes, I message back asking why they hadn’t launched already.

“I can’t, I don’t have time.”

“I can’t, it’s not good enough. I’m not good enough.”

“I can’t, I don’t know how.”

These thoughts went through my head too, when I kept trying to rebrand.

“I can’t, I’ll lose followers.”

“I can’t, what if I change my mind?”

“I can’t, I don’t want to pick a niche.”

“I can’t, I already have an existing business I can’t just throw away.”

The mindset section of the 3 day reset (a 7 min video) addresses this.

Systems

Every time I go viral, my comments always have comments like:

“I could never do that, I’m too lazy.”

“I’m just an undisciplined person.”

“omg my ADHD could never.”

But I’m a firm believer that it’s never you that’s “wrong” - after all, you can learn new things. It’s what the human brain is good at.

If anything, it’s your systems.

Imagine trying to work while perched on top of the Eiffel Tower.

No matter how much you try to focus, it’ll be hard to…even if you’re not afraid of heights.

But have you ever missed more than 2 days of watching a TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube video?

If you haven’t, it’s because social media platforms create a system designed to make it easy and rewarding to watch.

You can use those same principles, but for your life goals.

Boundaries

Almost a decade ago, I started an education company with my friends.

I was praised for how “productive” I was - I made a month’s worth of social media posts in 1 day.

But that very productivity killed our company.

We didn’t need more social media posts.

We needed students for our programs.

And our students usually came from collaboration with other organizations, not social media.

If I had more boundaries for what not to do, then maybe the company would’ve succeeded -

And I would’ve been less overwhelmed with busywork that turned out to be unimportant.

Because when I look at my to do list - especially items I’ve procrastinated on for a while - I realize:

90% of the items on this list don’t even matter.

That’s why day 3 of the reset challenge talks about having better boundaries.
